Note: If prompted to overwrite existing files, accept to do so

 

1. Start Euroscope.

 

2. When Euroscope asks you to select a Profile, click [Cancel]

 

3. Click ”OPEN SCT” on the top bar inside Euroscope, and select ”Download Sector Files …”

 

4. Locate ”Euroscope main sector file provider” in the list, and make sure there is a green tick in the AUTO column.

 

5. Select ”Euroscope main sector file provider” and click [Download] in the upper section of the window and then [update].

 

6. There should now be an entry in the list named ”Vatsim-Scandinavia – Norway”, if you dont see it, try step 5 again.

 

7. Locate and click ”Vatsim-Scandinavia – Norway” in the list.

Note: The filename give you the whereabouts of the files downloaded by Euroscope. This is the path where the downloaded sectorfiles are located.

Note down or remember the path, it will be needed later in this guide.

 

8. After selecting "Vatsim-Scandinavia – Norway" , Click [download], and then [update] in the upper part of the window.

 

9. Click "Vatsim-Scandinavia – Norway" again, Now there should be a sector file in the list below named ”Norway – Vatsim-Scandinavia” Version 2011_01_v22.

 

10. Make sure there is a green tick in the ”A” box of the sector file. This means that Euroscope will activate the automatick download of this sector file each time euroscope starts.

 

11. Click [Download] , and as soon as the file is downloaded, the ”D” box will get a green tick. This means that the sector file is successfully downloaded.

 

12. Exit Euroscope, and countinue on either the ”2a” or the ”2b” section.

 

2a)

First time users

 

1. Start Euroscope

2. When asked to “Open a profile file”, browse to the path you noted down on step 7. And select “Norway_NC.prf”, click [Open].

3. If the “Sectorfile not found” dialog box shows up, click [Yes].

4. This should load the complete NATCON profile, including the plugin and two ASR files.

 

Note: Remember that you will have to reconfigure the audio settings of euroscope after the update. That means the "push to talk"-key , "audio-in and audio-out devices" and squelsh/bassfilter have to be reconfigured

 

2b)

Users who want to use their own profiles, and just want to update the Sectorfile

 

1. Start Euroscope

2. When asked to “Open a profile file”, browse to the path of you own Profile file and select it, and click [Open].

3. Click Open SCT, and select “Load Sector file”.

4. Browse to the path you noted down on step 7, select the Norway_NC_2011_01_v22.sct file, and click [Open]

Nei Anders, jeg prøvde nå nettopp og da kom 23 opp som siste.

 

Har ikke lest manualen ordrett, men du leter kun etter den linjen som det står "vatsim-scandinavia - Norway" i den øverste linjen, merk den.

Trykk på den øverste download knappen. Da kom versjon 23 opp som fil versjon på den nederste listen. Velg deretter den linjen og trykk på download til høgre for den listen. Da er det bare å svare ja på erstatte den gamle.

Det funket ikke hos meg heller, selv om jeg prøvde det Jan Tore skriver. Virket som at den ikke ville laste ned/lese tekstfilen som forteller hva ES skal laste ned. Det stod i message-feltet i ES at den hadde lastet den ned, men allikevel stod det v22 i download-saken til ES. Jeg endte med å laste ned filene manuellt , det funka.

Det dere kan gjøre er å tømme midlertidige internet filer i Internet explorer, dette er fordi Euroscope bruker ett grensesnitt i internet explorer for å laste ned disse filene... og internet explorer mellomlagrer disse...

 

Deretter gå inn i Download sector files i Euroscope, klikke på "Euroscope main sector file provider" og klikke Download, og deretter Update.

 

Deretter gå ned til Varsim-Scandinavia - Norway, merk denne, og klikk download, dersom alt er som det skal, skal versjon 23 nå komme opp i listen under. Marker så denn, og klikk Download. Dersom alt har gått bra skal forhåpentligvis både A/D og C får en grønn hake på seg, og endel meldinger om du ønsker å erstatte v22 med 23, svar ja på disse.

Angående Director på Gardermoen:

 

Det er rapportert problemer med at fly ikke kan se Director (ENGM_D_APP) på Gardermoen.

 

Problemet er nå identifisert. De piloter som flyr med FSInn kan se og snakke med posisjonen, mens de som bruker SquawkBox ikke kan verken se eller snakke med denne. ATC kan alltid se posisjonen. Problemet er den relativt høyre frekvensen DIR bruker: 136.4 MHz. SB ser denne frekvensen som over flybåndet av en eller annen grunn, og definerer derfor posisjonen som ugyldig.

 

Løsning inntil videre er, dersom en skal logge på som DIR, å bruke backupfrekvensen 119.97 som automatisk blir brukt når en logger på som ENGM_2_APP. CJI er D2.

 

ENGM_D_APP bør altså ikke brukes.

Jeg satt nettopp en session på ENVA_TWR, det var ett par karer som trengte radar vectors, ettersom de ikke hadde GEVLI1X. Jeg kunne ikke finne radar vectors i listen over departures. RWY09 var aktiv. Har denne departuren blitt fjernet fra sektorfila?

HOTFIX for å laste ned øyeblikkelig: EuroScope er bygget på en sånn måte at den benytter Internet Explorer for å se etter oppdateringer til filene. Desverre er det innebygget en cache-funksjon i IE som gjør at det kan ta inntil 72 timer før du får beskjed om at nye filer er tilgjengelig.

 

En workaround er som følger: Åpne Internet Explorer, og åpne denne URL: http://www.vatsim-scandinavia.org/euroscope/sectorfiles/norway/ENOR_sector_files.txt

 

Trykk så CTRL + F5. Du vil nå se at textdokumentet som vises er oppdatert til 2012_01_v26. Du kan nå restarte ES, og innen noen minutter vil du få beskjed om at en ny sektorfil er tilgjengelig.

 

NB: Det anbefales ikke å laste ned filen direkte fra linken dere får i tekstdokumentet - la heller ES laste den ned for dere. Du vil på den måten beholde de settings som er mulig å beholde gjennom oppdateringen.
