Jeg sto å fulgte med da brannbilene linet opp langs "exits" på runway og på C-5 av alle plasser. Men det står i artikelen til Avisa Nordland gikk alt bare bra og flyet landet som normalt

Forklaring fra NRK Nordland om hendelsen fra informasjonssjefen Siw Sandvik. Hjulene måtte tas ut med alternate system. Jeg vet ikke hvordan det gjøres på DCH-8. På 737 er Manual Gear Extention under en luke i gulvet i cockpit. Null hydaulisk press, bare gravitasjon og luftmotstand.

"In the Dash 8, there are small panels above and below the co-pilot's seat. Open the panel, and a cable puts the LG hyd system into bypass. Pull the handle underneath, and you will open the LG doors, pull farther and you'll drop the gear.

On the mains, there's a small hyd system to help lock the gear down (alternate extension reservoir, located in the RH nose), because the gear drops against the airflow. The nose gear comes down with the wind, so has no additional hyd."
