"SIA to fly A380 to London from 18 March

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has set 18 March as the date for the introduction of Airbus A380 services on the Singapore-London Heathrow route.

 

The Star Alliance carrier currently only operates the aircraft between Singapore and Sydney but says it will be able to offer daily services between Singapore and London Heathrow once its third A380 is delivered.

 

SIA recently took delivery of its second A380 and says its third is due to be delivered by Airbus by the middle of March.

 

It says the A380 will be used to operate flight SQ322 outbound from Singapore, departing late in the evening and arriving in London early in the morning. Return flights will depart London before noon and arrive the next morning in Singapore.

 

The first flight on 18 March will operate outbound from Singapore at 09:00, however, arriving in London at 15:05. It will depart London at 18:55 the same day and arrive in Singapore at 15:35 the following day."
