Per-kristian Jensen Skrevet 26. august 2004 Del Skrevet 26. august 2004 "Official VATSIM Convention Flying Weekend Event 1 "Cross the Ditch" 0500Z to 0900Z (1500 AEST/1700 NZST - 1900/2100 NZST) Our weekend starts with a "Cross the Ditch" flight from Australia to New Zealand. It is suggested that you fly from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne to either Wellington or Auckland, but there are many airports either side which you can tailor your flight too. Also, Norfolk Island and Lord Howe Island are options en-route. Event 2 "Conflict for Controllers - NZ" 0700Z to 1200Z (1700 AEST/1900 NZST - 2200/2400 NZST) Conflict for controllers is an event designed to create havoc for the controllers through having aircraft departing and arriving from airports in close proximity. Event 3 "Sydney Overload" 0000Z to 1300Z (1000 AEST/1200 NZST - 2300/0100 NZST) Sydney and its surrounds come alive, as the regions busiest airport, hosts the Convention Event. Event 4 "Australia Air Tour" 0000Z to 1300Z (1700 AEST/1900 NZST - 2300/0100 NZST) his event is an air tour from Port Moresby to Cairns, then following the Australian East coast to Hobart, Tasmania, then returning to Melbourne then concluding in Sydney.
