Mye tyder nå på at flyet har truffet vannet med stor vertikal kraft, en annen ting som de har funnet ut er at maskene heller ikke har felt deg ut, noe som betyr at flyet iallefall ikke har hatt trykkfall, og som også nokså sikkert betyr at flyet var inntakt da det traff vannet.
