Skrevet 29. juni 2009 15 år Nå er det ikke lenge igjen til fartsfest i Arendal, jeg snakker selvfølgelig om Offshore Class One. I år har Arendal to race så mye mer teller for alle team. Samtidig er det EM-runde i Offshore klasse 3B. Samt Norges Cup i Offshore klassene V-50,V-150 og 3C. Også Norges Cup i Rundbane klassene T-250,V-25, T-400 og GT-30. Dette kommer til å bli en folke fest uten like. Fredag 17 juli starter første trening for 3B kl.12:30. Første trening for C1 er kl.14:00. Første race nemelig: Race 1 of the European Championship Class 3B starter kl 15.45 fredag. Men en av helgens høydepunkter er fredag kl. 17:00. Class 1 EDOX Arendal Speed Record( her samtlige team skal kjøre 1000meter en veg og tilbake for å prøve å sette ny fartsrekord.) Dette vil gå unna. Så alle som er på Sørlandet eller andre steder i Norge bør komme seg til Arendal 17-19 juli. Er det noe dere lurer på ang. Arendal send meg en mail eller IM. Skal jeg hjelpe so godt jeg kan. Har snakket med begge førere fra teames første båt.(Tom Barry-Cotter og Pål Virik Nilsen) Gjort store endringer på båten, som det skal forhåpeligvis gå bedere. Dem satser på en topp plasering, og forhopentlig vis også speed rekord. The speed that teams will be looking to try beat is 161.26mph / 259.86kph - covering the 1km in around 15 seconds - recorded in Arendal in 1999 by triple World Champions, Saeed Al Tayer and Felix Serralles, in Victory 44.
