Skrevet 6. november 2008 16 år Såvidt jeg har forstått dette, så er målet ved dette spillet og gjennskape alle aspektene ved Operation Overlord. Realismen vil taes til en helt nytt nivå med tanke på AI (250.000 units!) Et lite avsnitt fra FAQ: Let’s take a step back and cover how the unit selection first occurs. When you start the game you are presented with a new game option. When you select this you are followed with another menu that allows you to select your side, Allied or Axis. You can only select Nations/Units from this since once you commence your game. That said you can always start multiple campaigns. So for arguments sake we pick the Allies. Within the Allies menu you are now presented with a Rank of PVT. This means that you can either commence the game straight away, or you can begin your training. If you begin the game straight away, you can only select units from any allied armed force at this level. This essentially limits what you can do, as no PVT will be given a sniper rifle, or a tank, or any sort of vehicle (from what I am aware, yes there will be instances when we populate the 250,000 unit database, but I am currently talking general terms.). So as a PVT you can gain access to all the other Privates. When you select a Nation we spawn a Career for that nation, and that nation's armed forces. This catalogues a list of training and drills that you can part-take in. So at this moment in time we have (For example) Allies->US->Air force so you without knowing it have started a career in the Air force, and the list of training and drills are automatically there for you to try out. As you do this training or drills or even try to do this in game. You gain points towards developing that career and ultimately you will expand your career opening up more and more units. So while you may once have been a PVT who could only really wield a weapon, and have no specific training. You can now evolve your career so you can fly the C-47's in. Obviously if you want the most out of the game you will start a career for each and every armed force a nation has. Also when it comes to nations that have common training you can duplicate your training across to that. So if you can fly a C-47 for the US you can also do the same for the UK or Canada. That is roughly the career system. 1. Start a Campaign 2. Select a Division (Allied or Axis) 3. Choose a Nation 1. Choose a Nations Armed Force 2. Do Training 3. Or Play the game 4. Game dynamically generates careers in a given nations armed force as you take select units, or opt to do training for that unit. 5. This career is used to monitor your points for increasing your rank and Qualification. So when it comes to being an elite unit you will need to follow a career path that will lead you that direction. Obviously training and drills are the best way to achieve this. But by allowing users to pro-actively gain experience points in the field that unlocks new units in relative fields to the experience gained ensures that players who jump straight in and try and complete the game. Can restart the Campaign and have even more options available to them like the Rangers or the SS. More importantly they can learn to handle a tank or plane etc. Properly and it will prevent new players from trying to assume that role.
