Jan Arild Gjemble Skrevet 28. september 2008 Skrevet 28. september 2008 During my stay at Cordova I was asked to bring necessary supplies up to Duffys Tavern for all the participants of TGAT. They was due to land within the next two-three weeks and most of the supplies was parts and beer for the eagles. I decided to take the Grand Caravan for this trip, both because of the supplies and I had a passenger that was willing to pay for the whole trip as long as I gave him a sightseeing of the Wrangell mountains. It was a beautiful day for a sightseeing and I didn't expect any troubles on this trip. The take off from Cordova went without problems and soon we was catching up Copper River heading for Mount Drum Passing Mount Drum and heading towards the Wrangell Mountains is an impressive sight I was glad I choose the good old Caravan for this trip as it gave me both the power for climbing and was able to operate in this hights without problems. My passenger got this picture passing over Mount Wrangell and the volcano deep under the ice on top. We flow over the whole mountain range and headed up to Mount Sanford passing the Nasbena Glacier, very impressive. From Mount Sanford we headed directly to Duffys Tavern for delivery of the supplies and to drop of my passenger that was going to stay in this area for 14 days as he needed to get away from the life in Seattle for a while. And for me, I think I need to stay overnight at Duffys and controll the quality of the beer before the rest of the Eagles arrive. Siter
