Jan Arild Gjemble Skrevet 28. september 2008 Skrevet 28. september 2008 After a great vacation in the area around Icy Bay and the national park with small flights in and out of the area the time has come to move further into Alaska. This first leg is planned to bring me up to Cordova passing the Bering Glacier and the Miles Glacier and follow the delta of Copper River and over to Cordova. I started off late afternoon and in a very foggy weather from icy bay, the tourist with me had specific told me that they wanted to have a great sightseeing so i planned to stay low as soon as we entered the Bering Glacier. Foggy take off from Icy Bay, lets hope the weather get a bit better over the Glaciers. On the way up to the Bering Glacier we are passing over Yakataga airport to our left. The weather clear up a bit as we enter the Bering Glacier and what a sight! My passenges did take photos all over and told me to turn left and right all the time. We used a good hour sightseeing the Bering Glacier. The Bering Glacier is an impressive sight. Then we turned towards Miles Glacier which ends up in The Copper River We did follow the Copper river delta until it was time to turn towards Cordova Smith Airport, there was a smooth landing and delivery of two passengers, the rest was going to Cordova Mun Airport. After a short flight we was parked and shutting down the airplane at Cordova Mun Airport, and it was busy there. Within the first half hour no less than 3 other airplanes landed with passengers. A couple of days in Cordova, trying some fishing before new adventures will be explored. Siter
