    SM8 står for "Visibility 8 statute miles". I Norge ville det stått 9999.

    A02 betyr at meldingen er fra en automatisert stasjon og Axx angir typen instrumentering på stasjonen. "A02" betyr at stasjonen er i stand til å måle mengde/type nedbør.
