Jeg har hørt om noe som kalles for short final. Er dette det samme som final altså siste innflyvning før landing?

Final er da sluttinnlegget, det siste innlegget når en er på innflyging (base, downwind og slikt brukes og ofte for VFR fly, se under på VACC NO, under training om en sak om VFR fly)

Final kan vær lang(long final), eller kort(short final), eller sånn passe. For småfly (VFR) vil jeg regne en "normal" final til å være fra 1-2 nm ut fra landingspunktet, og short final er da bare lengre inn på det samme sluttinnlegget (fra 4-500 fot over bakken, og lengre inn, under 0.5-1 nm fra touchdown).
