Bjørn Petersson Skrevet 18. september 2011 Del Skrevet 18. september 2011 Hei og hopp! Poster noen bilder fra dagens langtur Teksten er på engelsk da jeg bare har sakset inlegget fra et annet forum As some of you might know, FS DreamTeam has released their new, and very impressive LAX scenery, wich for me has been a long wait (Sorry FS Blue Print, yours just didn't cut it!). As for the flight, I took a more southern route today as of the winds in the north, the track was NAT B , which goes over northern Iceland and through southern Greenland, and then into Canadian airspace. The Route: BUZAD UT420 TNT UL28 RODOL UP6 DIMLI UN570 GINGA NATB SPOTE N282A MT N312A SSM J140 DLH J32 ABR J158 DDY J202 OCS J107 MLF J9 BERYL J107 BLD J60 HEC 0945Z: Me, I and my self arrived at gate 318 to find 'Mustang Sally', just out after 4 days of scheduled maintenance and cleaning. As we entered the cockpit we met one of the mechanics, just about to exit the cockpit after this mornings DI. The plane was about to be loaded with 150 tons of fuel, and 349 passengers ready to spend a fortune on their late summer holly days My co-pilot took the walk-around as i began programing the FMC and getting the Oceanic clearance. As he was half-way through the walk-around, he snapped this picture. After some while and a lot of radio chatter the FMC programing was done. No time to waste, with headwind pritty much all the way to Canada we didn't have any time to waste. 1102Z: Push initialized, and as we where about to do the turn north onto taxiway Golf, we got the OK to start the engines. 1108Z: Engines started up and we had received our taxi clearance. Taxi RWY 09R via Taxiway Golf - Foxtrot - Alpha - Link 52 to hold short November 11, so we set off knowing we had more than 10 hours of absolutely nothing but ocean and wilderness ahead of us. 1115Z: After being number five for departure, we were finaly ready to go, initaly 6000ft after departure, proceed on the BUZAD4 Juliet departure. Nice overview of Heston on the departure. We are now over the atlantic on our way towards the second fix on the track today, 6020N. Just passed Greenland here, currently over the Labrador sea, on our way towards 5950N, and then over to PRAWNS as we enter Canadian mainland. After a lot of wilderness, turbulence, more ATC chatter, facebooking, adult entertainment, eh, i mean in flight entertainment and 'SkyRama' , we finally began our descent down to 'The City of Angels'. Through the ceiling, and to continue down to 5000ft before the second to last turn before final RWY25L. Making the turn. Slow and steady now! Nice but firm landing, flight recorder shows a vertical speed of -118 feet per minute. An eager spotter with a decent size tele lens to this picture as we were braking down the runway. Parked and shut down, after 10 hours 29 minutes and 38 seconds, all 349 passengers are safely off and the luggage has been unloaded. For me, this means I can head of to the beach and relax, and have a good nights rest before tomorrows return flight. Thats all folks! Hope you enjoyed it so that my ten and some hours didn't all go to waste for nothing Kommentarer er alltid velkomne Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
