Yukon Quest starter imorgen, siste cargo flight!

There still was 300 lbs left in Whitehorse which needed to go to Dawson. I had some spare time as my Porter was having a last check and service before tomorrows start of the Yukon Quest.

 

I was able to talk to the boss and one of our Otters was in Whitehorse so I could take that one and deliver the last 300lbs of food to Dawson

 

This was going to be a late afternoon flight and I would be in Dawson landing in the dark. Well first of all we had to load the aircraft with all the food.

 

Soon we got clearance for take off and here we go, climbing out of Whitehorse heading for Dawson

 

A beautiful afternoon with a great sunset, more and more daylight are getting back in the northern area for each day

 

The Otter is a beauty as well, and the paint job is marvelous.

 

 

It was dark when I reached Dawson.

 

After a approach and landing without difficulties we started to unload the aircraft for all the dog food. I dinner in Dawson was waiting and then heading back to Whitehorse for the big day.

Du liker deg best i motvind :grin: . Flott reportasje, dramatiske skyer og tøff "arbeidshest". Er ikke helt enig i de som synes Turbo-Otteren er stygg, selv om Single-Otteren er å foretrekke....... Stilige bilder uansett!
