WEST COAST FLY-IN
On December 7, 2014 between 17:00 - 21:00z, VATSIM Scandinavia would like to invite all pilots from all around the world to fly to Norway! For four hours, we will have Bergen airport Flesland [ENBR] and Stavanger airport Sola [ENZV] fully staffed from Ground to Centre. Let us welcome SNAP to Norway!
SNAP, or Southern Norway Airspace Project was established on November 13, 2014 and is the most substantial change of the airspace structure in Norways aviation history! This update has changed the entire mid-, west-, and south-Norway for all pilots flying in, out and through Stavanger and Bodø Area Control Centre.
In order to use the updated departure and arrival procedures, AIRAC cycle 1412 (see Navigraph) needs to be installed! If you do not have this AIRAC version, we highly recommend that acquire it before the event. If this is not an option, no problem - we will still get you down safely.
